There are many words that come from the Spanish language that have made it's way into Tagalog because of the Spanish conquest of the Philippines. For example, there are over 4,000 spanish loanwords in Tagalog and over 6,000 in other dialects. Spanish has also influence the spelling system of the Philippines. However, not all of the words keep their same definition as shown on the table (below). Those are not every single word there is, they are just a few examples.
